Wichtig hierbei, es sollte ein Temperaturbereich von 1350°C abgedeckt sein, also z.B. -100°C bis 1250°C.

Hi Alex, it is very hard to find a thermocouple with those characteristics. Instead I found different models with range 0 - 1250°C. Are they suitable for the measure?

Hi,

there are a lot "Type K" therocouples at the market.
But it realy needs to have this range, otherwise it will not measure exact.
They are very cheap

yes, they are very cheap, but for this reason I have doubt on their quality (they are all chinese ), and I'm afraid it can create problems to my turbine if it melts and lost some pieces of metal
Anyway I'm searching some good quality brand. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Alex,
I want to install the exhaust thermocouple on an E87. The display unit is the AK01E V2 and not have the connections indicated in the first post. How I can connect the MAX 31855 to the display module? I see on one side 0V and 5V for the power supply but for the CS D0 and CLK signals?

sorry for the late response.
I need to check the new PCB Layout of the AK01E V2 Controller.
It is not this screw clamp where you have to connect it, it needs to be soldered at the PCB itself.

I will update the Wiki the next days.

Sorry, i need to check a bit more.

It will be possible, one sensor is absolutely no problem but for the second one there needs to be another CS connection, i need to check which one is the best option.

I will connect 2 devices to one new Controller over the weekend.

OK, so one Sensor is no Problem.

So here is a short description, i will put everything to the Wiki in a nice shape later.

MAX31855 ---> Controller
GND ---> 0V Screw clamp
VIN ---> 5V Screw clamp
DO ---> Solder to 35
CS ---> Solder to 43
CLK ---> Solder to 58

There is a small opening in the housing at the USB Side, where the wires can go out.
